An anonymous figure who runs neosteam gold Facts, a site offering gold seller reviews and facts exposing the truth in the 'World of Warcraft' gold industry, told Eurogamer he (or she) believes MMO companies should become involved in gold-trading.
As Ars Technica writes, so that it can be regulated instead of leaving it to a group of potentially-shady independent dealers. Calling himself Extreme Gamer, this person claimed he (or she) heard 30 % of the MMO playerbase likes the benefits of real money trading, but in reality we have no idea if the information this person heard is true.
Despite that questionable information, Ars is running the story with the headline 30 percent of online gamers reportedly buy gold, and actually questions the figures in the related text, even if the title makes it seem like it's a fact...
